The book and posters were designed using hand-painted illustrations that featured bold colours and abstract visual style to depict the cunning nature of fraudsters and their evil designs. The chapters of the book were individual folded sleeves that doubled up as posters. Opening the folded posters one by one revealed details of the particular fraud being discussed, how it works, and an interactive section that displayed real-life frauds upon scanning a QR code.

The Middle East loses millions every day due to fraud. In fact, in 2023 the region lost $1.8 billion to fraud. Fraudsters got creative and found newer ways to scam people. The people needed to be educated about these tricks and armed with knowledge to fight fraud.

The art direction of the book and the posters was meant to startle people into paying attention to the subject of fraud. This was achieved by using bold colours and abstract illustrations that highlighted the cunningness of fraudsters and how they operate. The art direction also gave a face to the faceless fraudsters by presenting them as evil creatures who will stoop to any level to scam people.
