To raise girls' awareness of sport and encourage them to take part, we wanted to infiltrate a place where they go every day: the classroom. And in every classroom, there are timelines tracing the most important historical events in the country. And 99% of the time, these events are associated with men. Schoolgirls spend all day in front of these timelines, but there are no female figures to identify with. However, in 2023, Turkish history was made by women: the sultans of the net won the 1st Euro in Turkish volleyball history. So, it’s time to update these timelines.

To showcase that, in 2023, we can make history while being a woman and practicing sport, the Turkish Volleyball Federation creates the “Extended Timelines”, an addition to the original timelines found in classrooms. On its website, the Turkish Volleyball Federation will be uploading extended timelines that pupils and teachers can print out at home to add to their classrooms. On each extended guideline, a QR Code will drive to a platform giving the opportunity to subscribe to a sport.
