Background

Girls and young women participate less then boys and young men within sports, they also show higher drop our rates. Why is that the case? Girls report feelings of lonelyness within sport, oftentimes accompanied by an unmet need for support of a collective that outgrows their direct teammates. How can we adress that need through an integrated campaigns centering the Sultans of the Net and the Turkish Volleyball Federation and make girls and young women participate more within sports while also lowering their drop put rates.

Campaign idea

What could motivate girls more than to become a part of the national team. A team that supports one another throughout scandals and proves that is as tightly knit as a net.

The creative Idea is based on the Federation Internationale de Volleyball not specifying the number of digits a player can have on their back within their 2024 tricot guidelines. This makes the numbers on the fronts and backs of players only needing to comply the hight and linestrength rules. Utilizing the rulegap we make dreams come true, and all girls a part of the national team.

Girls get a mention of their name on the official registery for the national team on the turkish football federations website. They choose their own individual player number and get an accoriding national team tricot. And have the chance to have their number on a the back of one of the sultans of the net, when they play to win at the olympic games 2024. Billboards advertize the web page for the registration. Social Media integrates the girls and their trictots via #showthenet into one community and amplify the campaign.
