With the existential threat of climate change, we’re all reevaluating our connection with the world around us and how we use its resources. One - of very few - untapped resources found in nature is the processes it uses to sustain itself and its inhabitants. To sustain our own creativity, we can’t use the same resources we’ve been using for decades. We need to look elsewhere, we need to look to nature. As the legendary innovator Buckminster Fuller said it best “I’m not trying to copy nature, I’m trying to find the principles she’s using.” Using the principles of Biomimicry and real world examples, we’ll explore how the future of creativity is found in nature.
