Jimmy Dean is the number one sausage brand in America and was founded in 1969 but not a lot of people are familiar with our anniversary. So we reimagined some of America's most famous cultural moments who just happened to share the same anniversary to include us. Nasa's Apollo 11 landed on the moon on July 20th, 1969 and the Woodstock Music and Art Fair, the most famous rock festival was held August 15-18, 1969.

The original moon landing photo was taken by someone at NASA. The original Woodstock photo was taken by a rock n roll photographer named Henry Diltz. Our photographer and his team did hundreds of hours of research to make sure every detail of our recreated portions was as identical to the originals as possible. Everything from the set design, wardrobe, hair styles and equipment was period correct. Our photographer is known for having shot some very famous recreations. However, this is the first time he had ever heard of someone creating an extension of a famous photo. Having to line it up and make it match with the existing photos was an entirely new technical challenge. It was a real thrill to figure out how to do that.
