Description

In 2011, Societe des Ecrivains publishing house released a book called Tranches De Mort (Slices Of Life). The book that takes the matter of death very lightly and playfully. The task was to recruit readers from Facebook.

Execution

We created My-Own-Epitaph - an application that analyses your Facebook profile information and creates your personal epitaph. And you can immediately share your epitaph on your Wall. Not everyone was bold enough to try it. But those who did got information about the book, the writer and were invited to buy it.

Outcome

Over 10,000 people have visited my-own-epitaph.com and generated over 40,000 epitaphs. Over 5,000 people dared to share their grave stone and epitaphs on Facebook. The first print run of the book was sold out.
