To make an impact with new audiences, we set out to create a striking suite of images that present classical content in a contemporary way. To do this, we put a top Australian fashion photographer behind the lens to shake the public’s misconceptions. Each shot was designed to portray both the genre and emotion of each production to create imagery as powerful as the opera itself.
Outcome
Drawing from the sophistication and style of high-end fashion photography, we've taken an 18th century genre and turned it into a relevant, contemporary art form. And with a rise in ticket sales year on year, the new brand and photography style has certainly landed on a high-note. It’s bringing new audiences through the door, and most importantly, helping to transform the way that people in Australia view opera today.
