Description
We all do things that require apologies. Saying sorry is difficult and can end in a harmful war of words.
In this spot, a son makes the fatal error of forgetting Mother’s Day. “Maternal Kombat” forms the the next in the original Netflorist “War of Words” campaign. Previously, an anniversary forgotten by a husband played out like an epic world war. In this instance, the ‘war’ scene is an old-school 8-bit video game, using sonic characteristics of the cult favourite - Mortal Kombat. Words of anger sound like fireballs, bicylce-kicks, blood spurts and ‘fatalities’ - all in aide of reminding us that “A war of words, is best won with flowers.”
The ad was strategically placed POST Mother’s Day to show the conscequences of forgetting the woman who gave you life.
