In the heart of Auckland city, a Sky Screamer bungy rocket and a empty 65 metre high wall behind it, gave us the perfect opportunity to do so.In a world first, a ‘SkyScreamer’ Reverse Bungy was transformed into the new adidas +teamgeist matchball.The 2.5m high ball sat in front of the largest billboard site in the country, which featured Liverpool Captain and English team member Steven Gerrard. This gave the impression that Gerrard was kicking the ball.A match commentary was played over a loudspeaker as participants were strapped inside the ball. Then, just as Gerrard kicks the ball, the reverse bungee soccer ball was blasted into the air at over 170km/h.The screaming occupants got to experience what it’s like to ‘Be the Ball’.
Execution
