Description
To inspire the region’s employees by producing a collection of the best creative work from Ogilvy’s Greater China region.
Execution
As Xian is the ancient Chinese capital and home of the terra cotta warriors, it seemed only fitting that this cultural icon would play a key role. A stylized statue of a soldier was signed by creative directors in the region as a pledge to fight on and protect the creative product. The grand size was to ensure it would be kept out where many in each office could see it and be motivated.
Outcome
All copies were taken back to the offices and put to good inspirational use as the work got appreciably better in 2008, evidenced by moves up in award tallies within each of the five Greater China offices.
