We produced t-shirts that made pregnant bellies look like "Billiard Eight Balls".The "Eight Ball" is normally known by every Burnett employee to be an internal award that is given out every quarter of a year for brilliant creative works.It’s based on a ten-point scale used to evaluate work throughout the entire Leo Burnett network. Anything above a seven is considered superior. So every woman with an “Eight Ball t-shirt” has been recognized by the agency for an outstanding creative job: pregnancy.

Outcome

The biggest proof for the success of our promotion is that most of our pregnant employees are willing to come back after their maternity leave and feel loyal to Burnett - as our employee attitude survey shows.
