CONTRAPUNTO, Madrid / AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL / 2008
Using an e-mail, Amnesty International invites people to sign up to their data base on a website called www.humanrightsiniran.com. When you click on the link, the typical “page cannot be displayed” screen sign flashes up. If you read the text, you realise the page on human rights in Iran doesn’t exist because in that country human rights are violated every day.Through a link you can see the real page on which Amnesty talks about ending practices that are contrary to human rights in Iran, and how to help them to change the situation.Amnesty International has spent years fighting to put a stop to practices that are contrary to human rights, as is currently occurring in Iran.
With a simple and direct e-mail we wanted to make clear that the government of Iran violates human rights every single day.
