Execution

Venue owners, managers and bartenders are very busy, so our promotion had to be quick and easy to participate in – so we based it on SMS (text-messaging).To sell the premium Brandhouse products in this promotion, participants needed to know all about the brands – so we involved plenty of education.

Different incentives would appeal to our different target markets – so owners & managers could win a R50 000 venue upgrade and bartenders & waiters could win cash prizes and a R20 000 day of luxury grand prize.

Outcome

The Reserved for You Promotion has achieved outstanding results.In the first month alone, the Promotion generated 9,806 tot sales, and rose by 7% in the second month to 10,464 tots. In the third month sales were 28% higher at 12,556 tots.This is particularly impressive given the high individual tot cost of these very expensive premium brands.The campaign generated a profit of over R517 000 in the first three months alone. And the use of SMS to keep in contact with bartenders and waiters who move from venue to venue proved highly effective.
