Description

In the spot we show a literal yet very suggestive idea of a war on cancer. A young woman soldier, representative of all cancer sufferers, fights in a duel with a beast in a world that is a metaphor of the inside of an organism. The cancer is an intruder, it fights with electric pain strokes but is unable to move. The hero is determined and tries to shoot it down until she has no ammunition – symbolically shown as precisely morphed from money in a hi-tech factory. Those two parallel worlds show the reality of an everyday oncological patient’s struggle where money seems to be the only way to win against cancer. The hero eventually gets a new load of ammo, because every time someone donates money to the Foundation – a fight for life can be continued.

Execution

The challenge in case of our spot consists of many different elements. The scenography was real, solid and carefully measured with the green box, we used more than 10 tons of sand. The actress needed to interact with the scenography and imagine the non-existing monster while performing “the fight”. Her weapons were designed and printed in 3D. All the CGI elements were designed from scratch as well. Two different worlds were created in Maya, Arnold and Nuke– the environment and the realistic bullet factory. The whole process of animation and postproduction took almost 3 months and the team of people involved in the project consisted of more than 60.
