In the UK, recent events have sown division and created culture wars – with media telling us difference is what divides us. But at Channel 4 we think different is brilliant – that it’s our shared uniqueness that brings us together – after all, we’ve always been a strange island(s). As part of this new brand platform, ‘Altogether Different’, we wanted to remind people that ALL4 – our online streaming platform – is not just a ‘catch-up’ service but home to loads of different types of shows. So we took two very different British shows and mashed them together – using key recognisable elements from both.
