"Always Working" follows a group of miniature men and women on a whimsical journey through the idyllic British countryside as they improve the Happy Meal’s contents.

“Always Working” uses stop-motion animation, a technique in which objects are moved incrementally to create the illusion of movement. For this spot, thousands of miniature characters were 3-D printed and hand painted. This technique created the biggest challenge during production, due to the minuscule scale and volume of characters to be painted in time for filming. Similarly, while filming, the same challenges were present, as some of the shots took 3 days for only 5-6 seconds of animation because the very small scale made moving each character by hand more difficult.
