To celebrate the SK-II x Warhol: Limited Edition Pitera Essence, the director of this piece created a fully VFX world around found footage from the archives of the Andy Warhol Association. It was always the director’s intention to experiment and be playful with how VFX was employed to showcase this collaboration - a notion which was derived from Warhol’s oeuvre and work ethic. One can see that the pop-art colouring, use of CG televisions (Warhol’s favourite medium), coupled with the overall energy, allowed for the film to feel connected and consistent in a realistic yet otherworldly way. This was no easy feat given that the production team was far-spread: from LA to London, New Zealand and Melbourne… this truly was a global scale project!
