Description
To demonstrate how Audi Night Vision works – a feature that allows drivers to see people and animals with greater ease at night on the road – we created a music video for the song “Animals” by Maroon 5 with animals doing a choreographed dance to the beat of the song. Something you’d never see without the help of the Audi’s thermal night-vision camera.
Execution
Taking advantage of the fact that the American pop-rock band Maroon 5 recently did a 6-show tour in Brazil, we launched the campaign on multiple digital fronts (Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram) as well as on TV (Globo, ESPN), broadening Audi’s potential engagement with a younger audience.
Outcome
More than just a song licensed for a car commercial, Maroon 5's song "Animals" is being seen as a new music video for the track – a re-release, two years after the band first put out the single. People have related to the campaign much in the way that fans relate to the band's music videos.
Engagement with and sharing of the commercial, mainly among younger people and Maroon 5 fans, has thus been exceeding all expectations.
