Description
The quattro snow art was performed at the Skiing region of Verbier, Switzerland. As the action took place in an open, public space were to face regulations and restrictions towards private property and commercial activities.
Execution
The quattro snow art was performed at a high plateau in the middle of the Verbier skiing region. An important factor for the choice of this location was the high visibility from ski lifts, gondolas and/or viewpoints of the area. Also, the spot lies at a main junction on the slopes where people pass by in any case. While performing the quattro snow art the artist attracts the attention of the passing visitors – consequently the quattro snow art is not only static branding but also a live performance in its appearance. Moreover attention to the artwork is guaranteed by its dimensions (30 x 200 meter) and the fact that it is at an unexpected appearance at the described spot.
Outcome
The Verbier skiing region is a highly frequented are during winter season. The quattro snow art branding potentially reached over 66,000 visitors personally at the skiing region. An ad hoc produced documentary video was spread over social media channels and reached in addition several million persons.
