Background

After the start in 2015 the Samsung #BeFearless program went into its second round.

Samsung Gear VR helped the #BeFearless program participants to overcome fundamental fears, such as the fear of heights and the fear of speaking in public.

As part of the program, dangerous scenarios were virtually recreated in a secure environment and helped people gradually overcome their fears.

#BeFearless was part of the international "Launching People" campaign. The aim was to give young people the opportunity to live without fear, without restraint. Samsung uses the evolving virtual reality technology to simulate typical anxiety situations as realistically as possible. Two of the participants were invited to a workshop in New York City, where they were able to share their stories and fears and exchange ideas with peers from all over the world.

Execution

The 360 ° videos were displayed using an ideal mix of customized target group clusters, optimal contextual segmentations on YouTube and Facebook and substantially increased brand search and interaction, as the tailored YouTube brand uplift study showed.

We used a minimal budget for a maximum impact and outcome, thus making the implementations very lucrative.
