Description
A Transylvanian farmer eats his first ever Whopper, and it floats his boat.
Execution
Teaser TV, print and banners announced the experiment to the world, directing the curious to WhopperVirgins.com. Visitors saw just how far we were prepared to go to prove the universal appeal of the Whopper. Immediately the internet and international media was buzzing with the news. And the countdown was on for the launch of the short film announcing the results. After one week, and countless blog comments and news stories, the documentary debuted. New TV, print and banners announced its release.
Outcome
Flame launched without a TV media buy, but it got featured on Conan, Regis and Kelly, The Tonight show, and more. The resulting media exposure was over 200 GRP, a figure we could have never reached with the allotted budget. Every unit sold in just 3 days, and an aftermarket even developed on Ebay where sellers were asking over $100 bucks for a $3 bottle.
