Description

A restaurant opens in Washington D.C. Senators and lawmakers are invited to the opening night without any idea what the night was about. Once inside, they discover that the entire restaurant is run by people with Down syndrome. The valet, the maître d', the waiters, the chefs, and the bar staff. The evening is perfect. The event opens the eyes of the members of Congress to just how capable people with Down syndrome can be, but also highlights the outdated laws that are holding them back. Every detail of the night - from the music to the wine to the menu - is designed to convey the restaurant’s message. The night concludes with a bill that calls the members of Congress to act; “The bill is on us. Changing the law is on you.”
