In anticipation of the boxing event of the year, the fight between Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez vs. Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin (GGG) was celebrated with a traveling pop-up activation.
The red-hot rivalry between the fighters was leveraged to drum up buzz, start conversations and create engagement for the fight and the award-winning, multi-part boxing installment, “24/7” for Canelo-Golovkin, which chronicles the behind-the-scenes build-up to their historic fight.
The pop-up traveled to Chicago and Los Angeles in advance of the event, which was scheduled to take place Mexican Independence Day, September 16th.
The action took place in and around a tricked-out trailer, where attendees of all ages had the chance to screen Part One of “24/7 Canelo-Golovkin,” take boxing training lessons from local boxing gyms, watch panels and presentations by seasoned boxing experts, peruse a display of museum-quality boxing memorabilia, participate in a boxing-themed photo op and even win gift-cards and other giveaways.
