Execution
In November 2007, the Australian Prime Minister John Howard was faced with a groundswell of opposition in the run-up to the Federal Election. We saw a unique opportunity to leverage the media frenzy surrounding the election by staging a planned media stunt: parking a Thrifty moving truck right outside Kirribilli House, the official residence of the Australian Prime Minister. We took a snapshot and, just before the election, leaked it to the media.
Outcome
The starbursts were seen clearly for over 4 minutes during the 8am prime time slot on National TV. This equates to over $100,000 free media, reaching an audience of almost 1,000,000 viewers.
