Execution

At the security checks in Vienna International Airport, all departing passengers get scanned from head to toe. But beforehand they have to put their personal belongings, which are made of metal, into small boxes. These boxes are branded by Casino Vienna. Thereby watches, money clips, coins, rings, or car keys surprisingly turn into Roulette bets. What follows is a feeling very similar to gambling: You always wonder if your precious things come back to you entirely when this round (in this case it’s the security check) is over.

Outcome

Total costs: € 127.000 including production costs and a whole year of use. Compared to average costs for a single page ad in an Austrian newspaper: € 15.000.
