We asked ourselves how can it take the fear away and sensitise Germans to the refugees’ plight? And so the idea was born: We invite Germans to become refugees themselves for a night.
Execution
The press all across the nation reported on our DOMO Hotel. More and more people checked in to our tent. They slept as a refugee for a night and had a moving experience.
Outcome
Shortly after the launch, DOMO Hotel was fully booked, and we collected over 150,000 euros in donations. But the most important thing: the people began to feel solidarity towards the refugees.
