To help the Chivas ‘Live with Chivalry’ line resonate with a younger thirty-something audience we explored the value of real friendship among men.We created four characters, Sammy, Emilio, Joe and Nicholas. They go way back and have shared the best times of their lives together. But like most men in their thirties its now more parent evenings than pool parties and they don’t get together as often as they used to. So when they do it’s not long before the drinks, banter and stories start to flow.In the short film ‘Here’s to Big Bear’ we join our four friends as they share one such story. The time Emilio accidently put the guys on the wrong train home after a big night out. “It wasn’t the wrong train. It was just going in the wrong direction”. The friends wake up to find themselves on a platform in the middle of the desert with no cell reception and only eleven dollars between them. With temperatures and tempers rising they set off in search of home.
