Description

Nespresso, the pioneer and worldwide market leader in premium portioned coffee, opened its second boutique in Lisbon, Portugal. Located in Avenida António Augusto Aguiar, the Nespresso Boutique will serve the highest quality coffee in an exclusive setting strategically located in one of the city’s most prestigious residential and shopping areas, home to the world’s most fashionable brands.

The new store serves as a gateway to the brand offering and introducing visitors, as well as their friends and families to Nespresso products and services. The tangible space allows connoisseurs to become a part of the Nespresso lifestyle as they select from the latest accessories to complement coffee machines already displayed in their homes. Inside, it is possible to encounter an illuminated wall of machine choices. The goal is to provide coffee lovers with the perfect cup of coffee and the chance to experience the exquisite aroma and taste of Nespresso.

For this reason, an international celebrity was invited to the opening ceremony, to be the hostess and to communicate the new boutique to the press, in order to create a buzz. This strategy achieved excellent results with 40 different media, and about 120 guests attending the event.

Execution

The Nespresso event took place on September 16th, in the new Boutique in Lisbon. The guests were invited to a cocktail reception at 7.30pm, and Ines Sastre arrived in a limousine at 8.00pm, making a spectacular entrance along with Nespresso’s director and creating the first moment for the press.

During the cocktail reception, Nespresso’s director and Ines Sastre made a welcoming speech, creating a second opportunity for the press. In the runway fashion show, looks were stylized according to the colours of “Touch Limited Edition” in preparation for what the viewers were about to discover. At the end of the show, the models revealed the Nespresso machines, in another opportunity for the press. Interviews for TV and press were given, both by Ines Sastre and Nespresso’s Director.

Outcome

The launch of Nespresso’s second Boutique in Lisbon was extremely successful.40 different media attended the event, with about 120 guests.

As a result, the new boutique opening achieved media coverage of 41 articles, both in Newspapers – Printed Media (36), Internet - online media (2) and Television (3).
