Description
We created the first Coffee Study Program designed to involve global students in a sustainable journey that helps them achieve the UN Sustainable Goals; therefore, Lavazza becomes the main endorser for the young generations by making these Goals truly achievable with a program that inspires them to think of a sustainable future hand in hand with a sustainable Brand.
Execution
We partnered with SDSN Youth to select talented young students with a personal vision on sustainability.
Each one of them was associated to one specific Sustainable Development Goals, depending on their personal field of study.
In Turin, they were able to learn everything about Lavazza’s sustainable coffee production chain. In The Dominican Republic, they were allowed to study and take part in real sustainable activities developed by Lavazza with Oxfam.
They were able to write their theses directly on-field, collecting first-hand data and results and learning how public and private associations work together to solve global scale problems.
Their final works, shared worldwide thanks to the awareness of Lavazza, became real tools to help the world achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and, most importantly, to inspire millions of students in joining the next editions of the Program.
Outcome
The whole experience became a documentary taimed to inspire millions of students worldwide and empowers them to become part of the next Coffee Study Program experience to achieve all of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The Coffee Study Program enabled Lavazza to be seen from the young generations as a sustainable Brand that is concretely taking action for the future of the planet.
