Overview

Description

Colorectal cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer death in Canada. This year an estimated 22,500 Canadians (12,400 men, 10,100 women) will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer and 9,100 (5,000 men, 4,100 women) will die from it. Numbers like this should be reason enough to get checked and yet screenings in Canada are down. Our goal is to create awareness, support, and advocacy for colon cancer screenings and encourage Canadians aged 35-50 to get checked today.

Execution

We knew we needed to dispel the common misconception that colon cancer screenings are difficult and time consuming. By using something as familiar, simple, and easy to conquer as a maze, we felt it would help to break this myth and convince Canadians that getting checked really is easier than you think!

Outcome

Contributed to a successful Ontario Colon Cancer awareness month.
