We harnessed the power of the entire cinema environment, creating a complete Pokémon experience. For the first time ever, the kids witnessed Pokémon in a larger-than-life experience on the big screen. Pokémon monsters became 20 meters high! For kids, this experience wasn’t just about the screen. We took over the foyer areas of all our cinemas with interactive gaming pods, giant-sized Pokémon stands, leaflets, posters and real life Pokémon characters.
Outcome
10,000 kids loved seeing their beloved Pokémon on the big screen. This cinema first lifted Pokémon Battlemaster sales 37% above expectation to second place in the Gaming Chart. It outsold all competitive kids games, including those on Playstation and X-Box. GameCube console sales, by 28%.
