Description

This campaign shows employees, clients, recruits and the general public that Deloitte is the proud marketplace leader in gender equality. Deloitte is invested in encouraging women to be authentic leaders and stands behind the investment by consistently being first to appoint women to leadership positions. As a professional services firm, we solve clients’ most pressing issues and turn them into positive business impacts. This campaign is an example to clients of how they can have a positive impact by solving workplace leadership gender gaps. We showcase passionate, dedicated female leaders to encourage all women to aim higher than traditional media and gender roles implore. This campaign is an offshoot of our “Move Forward. With Confidence.” Campaign, which emphasizes a brighter future ahead when we all work together. This campaign takes it one step further to feature a bright future for women by showcasing our most famous female leaders - newly appointed CEO Cathy Englebert, past Chairman of the Board Sharon Allen, and Managing Director Christie Smith. In execution, we focus on viral marketing techniques to exploit our pre-existing digital and social channels and have chosen to run the campaign in tandem with Cathy Englebert’s CEO appointment and Women’s History Month.

Execution

Deloitte drives progress. Deloitte invests in outstanding people of diverse talents and backgrounds and empowers them to achieve their full potential. Deloitte’s extensive range of professional services means that our organization reaches thousands of people on a daily basis and we believe that when our clients and society are stronger, so are we. We place high importance on cultural diversity and gender balance in our workforce and believe that this is essential to success.

At Deloitte, we take pride in recognizing and taking the opportunity to lead—recently, we are breaking gender barriers at the highest organizational levels by appointing the first female CEO of a professional services firm, Cathy Englebert. Advancing and empowering women is one of our core differentiators in the marketplace. Across the firm our female colleagues are rewarded and recognized for their hard work. We aim to support females throughout their careers by relying on open-mindedness, authentic leadership and forging relationships. We look up to our role models— the first female CEO of a major professional services company, first female Chairman of a major professional services company along with countless other female professionals across all levels and positions—and hope this advertisement inspires others to reach for success regardless of gender.

Outcome

This campaign aims to build confidence and commitment to inclusion internally at all levels, generate marketplace awareness of our inclusion culture, and support our merit for continued recognition by external organizations. It will serve as an example for both our people and our clients—future and present—and push them to focus on growing leaders without regard to gender, ethnicity, career level, or personality. Our culture is built on the belief that leadership has no boundaries and we want this message to be loud and clear to our potential recruits. We also want to show all our stakeholders that we are not only dependable partners in our clients’ growth and solutions, but also leaders by example. Since the success of this campaign is based on awareness and engagement, we want to know “how far is our message spreading?” To measure success, we will track by improving reach, volume, exposure, amplification, retweets, comments, replies and participants. As an organization recognized for our advances in workplace inclusion, our desired long term result is to continue our pattern of success and innovation—we want the Deloitte brand to be widely known for pioneering women leadership as well as continually push past boundaries.
