Description
In 1989, Panasonic launched a CSR program called [Kid Witness News (KWN)], which is a hands-on video education program encouraging children to develop communication, self-expression and team-work skills through collaborative video production. Today, approximately 10,000 kids from 31 countries worldwide participate every year.In March 2011, the Great East Japan earthquake occurred, impeding any regular workshops to be held within the disaster areas.
However, upon receiving requests from schools in the affected areas to help support emotional care for the children, workshops resumed, starting at O-funato Kita Elementary School in Iwate and several other schools.The theme for their video production was “To my future self, 10 years from now”.
