MasterCard formed a partnership with trusted Hispanic personal finance expert, Julie Stav, and Univision Radio. The "Tu Dinero Con Julie Stav" (Your Money with Julie Stav), which is also broadcast worldwide via the Internet. This radio programme allowed consumer interaction via call-ins and emails to MasterCard during live interviews conducted by Julie Stav. Additionally, MasterCard sponsored financial tip vignettes hosted by Julie Stav to further align MasterCard with financial education messages.
Outcome
Over 3,500 emails were sent and hundreds of calls were received in response to the campaign. Personal finance efforts 'brand you trust' and 25% improvement in 'safe secure way to pay' tracking attribute for MasterCard. Radio awareness increased by 73%. Efforts also fostered a greater interest in personal finance education initiatives among US Banks.
