Chevrolet has a rich history of celebrated musical campaigns. Our goal was to continue this tradition in a way that appealed to a younger generation. And who better to partner with than Television’s number one musical phenomenon- Glee.We worked hand in hand with show creator Ryan Murphy to create not only a Super Bowl commercial, but also a full two-minute Glee performance. A 30-second spot established an intriguing story for fans: the sinister Sue Sylvester was giving the Glee club the chance to star in a huge Chevrolet commercial. Directly after the Super Bowl, during a special episode of Glee, we aired a two-minute musical rendition of Dinah Shore’s classic, “See the USA in your Chevrolet,” complete with the Glee cast, spinning cars, aerialists, and over 50 dancers.
