Digital signage storefronts were created to drive interest of store shoppers and pedestrians. Eye-catching video animations included a feature that pulled in shoe designs from around the world that were created by actual users. Additionally part of the storefront window was converted into a fully functional touch screen display. People were able to customize their Nike gear right from the sidewalk on 57th street in Manhattan. They could then go inside and purchase their creations, or send it to themselves to buy online at home.
Outcome
The success of the program spurred Nike to make plans for NIKEiD Studios at Niketowns around the world, bringing customization and personal style to retail spaces everywhere.
