Daydreamin’ by Lupe Fiasco (ft. Jill Scott) completed the spot in so many ways, not only alley-ooping the message but elevating it. We knew we wanted wonder, adventure, and possibility and the repetitive nature of “daydream” unequivocally delivered us that, and then some. After all, in the height of the pandemic, travel seemed like a daydream. This lyric paired with an upbeat swinging tempo gave us a confident strut of making our dream seem possible, thanks to Expedia. Daydreamin’, which is a remix from the 60s psychedelic era of music, helped lend a surreal and appropriately “trippy” vibe - like we’re playing beyond the boundaries of time. Finally the contemporary elements mixed with the old, adds a feeling of nostalgia while inspiring us to reimagine new possibilities.
