The "Good News Now" network was developed as an answer to the pall of pessimism that has pervaded the traditional news and opinion outlets. the idea was to offer users a fun place to serve as a positive pick-me-up, social network to share ideas on how to navigate the current economic climate, and access to sears.com. We worked with Sears and partnered with Yahoo! News to create this site experience.
Outcome
Good News Now captivated over 2.4 million users for an average of 5 minutes per visit, generated tens of thousands of user comments, and had a click through rate that more than doubled the category benchmark, all over the critical 40 days prior to December 25th when consumers needed good news the most. Sears.com had record online sales for the 2008 shopping season.
