Miniature whoopee cushions were specially created with a “Hyundai Diesel. Less emissions” message printed on them. Competitor’s vehicles at the Sydney International Motor Show were then targeted with a covert seat drop.
Thousands of Hyundai branded miniature whoopee cushions were secretly placed inside cars, throughout exhibition displays and across public access areas.
Outcome
Produced for under AU $3000, the miniature whoopee cushion generated a lot of noise amongst the 200,000 motoring enthusiasts who visited the Sydney International Motor Show over 10 days.
This surprisingly cheeky device greatly increased consumer traffic to the Hyundai display and became a must-have take home souvenir for both adults and children, ensuring its “Less emissions” message lingered longer.
