Description
Four million dogs end up to shelters every year. Only two million make it out. Our job is to tell their stories, and help them find the loving homes they deserve.This campaign tells their stories one dog at a time. It tells of Echo, Mary Grace and Bailey. It puts faces and names to a growing American tragedy.
Execution
What better place to talk about shelter dogs than at the Super Bowl of dog shows - The Westminster Dog Show. Not only did we raise half a million dollars, we also canvassed the streets, taxis, parks and subways. We even created The Pedigree Dog Store in Times Square. We continued the conversation airing commercials for Echo, Bailey and Mary Grace. We produced wild postings, print ads and webumentaries showcasing breed rescue organizations. We created lashelterdogs.org to make sure every dog we filmed got adopted. We even aired resolution commercials showing Echo, Bailey and Mary Grace in their new homes.
