Description
The Most Interesting Man gave his father the talk, and this series of exploits help to explain why.
Execution
The Legend of You Facebook app allows fans to create a legendary film — similar to The Most Interesting Man in the World commercials — using photos from their desktop or Facebook albums. Photo filters are in place to add flair, along with the option to change the lines narrated over the video. The result is a 30-second film featuring the user as a Most Interesting Man or Woman. The videos can be shared via Facebook, Twitter, e-mail or a unique URL, so their friends can see how interesting they really are.
Outcome
In the span of just two days, we generated over 522,000 total engagements, our @DosEquis followers went up 184%, there was a 163% increase in #StayThirsty usage, and 80% of our posts were featured on the Instagram popular page. New and current fans alike got a glimpse of how flexible Dos Equis could be, both in its leveraging of social media, and in its novel usage of an iconic character. The success we achieved encouraged us to continue to work with Instagram influencers to continue to help show people what “Stay Thirsty” is all about.
