DuchAPP is a step-by-step song guide to an efficient shower, through a mobile application that results in 3:00 minute-long showers, saving up to 70% in water usage. By introducing our shower song through a mobile APP, we were able to interact with users on a day-to-day basis through their mobile devices.

Users can personalize their shower by choosing the steps they want to include: shampoo, conditioner or even turning off the faucet while applying soap. They can also choose the genre they want to shower to, between: rock, merengue and electro.

When the song ends and the shower is finished, users will see how much water they´ve saved and have the option to share their results and compete with family and friends through social networks.

We created a mobile APP that targets all Android and iOS users directly through their mobile devices by guiding them through a step-by-step shower song that saves up to 70% in water usage. Users can personalise their shower by choosing the steps they want to include, as well as choose the genre they want to shower to, between: rock, merengue and electro. After the 3-minute shower is finished, users can see how much water they´ve saved, have the option to share their stats and compete with family and friends through social networks.

DuchAPP was launched on Earth Day, amidst many other eco-friendly initiatives and was made available through APP stores to all iOS and Android devices.

Since it's launch, more than 54,000 people have downloaded DuchAPP throughout Latin America, including more than 10,000 shares on social networks and accumulated water savings of more than 6 million liters of water per day.

Through DuchAPP, we turned what used to be the most common habit of water wasting into one of the most fun and entertaining ways of saving water. Most importantly, we generated awareness of the need to change our behaviours and improve water usage for the sake of our planet.
