4 months of intense programming, 100’s of hours of testing and 3 dedicated teams translated into one big idea.
First, we reached out to Friends of the Earth’s network of partner corporations directly. Following a simple phone call,
the fully working app was passed on. And as a result, many of the city’s top 100 companies signed up to use
ECO:Screen across their entire businesses. So we’d already hit the ground running from day 1.
Promotion of ECO:Screen then rolled out across free press, radio, PR and even a launch event.
All of it conceived and organised in the space of 6 intense weeks leading up to the launch of the app.
Outcome
In the first month alone, ECO:Screen was downloaded by people and companies over 22,000 times--that’s once every two minutes.
In that time alone, it’s already saved almost 2 million hours of unnecessary energy waste.
