We wanted to create a highly impressive classroom lesson that the children would never forget. In order to teach the power of communication, a classroom should be full of creativity. So as an ad agency, we were able to ustilise and iplement the communications know-how that we had acquired from our daily work.We worked in collaboration with Tokyo Gakugei University and made three units of original DVD materials that featured an original guiding character called ’Koma Inu’. (‘Koma Inu’ is Japanese for a dog who loves advertising). We also prepared some original working sheets and notebooks to enhance kids’ creative potential.

Outcome

Every teacher who practiced this program confirmed its effectiveness in improving creativity and communication skills among their class members. Many of the kids who experienced this program found how hard, but yet interesting, communication can be. We ourselves were able to feel the bright future of our industry through their smiles. 11 newspapers and 8 magazines wrote articles on this program and some of teachers who read those articles took it into practice in their own class. So far, 24 classes experienced this program. And it would count more than 40 this year.
