Description
To let no metal fan miss a second in the mosh pit, the Metal magazine Metal Hammer came up with the ultimate solution- a device wich charges the smartphone battery through headbanging.
Execution
A promotion team walked over the festival areas and offered the possibility to the audience to charge their smartphones. With flags and flyers they get the attention of the Metal Fans and promoted "Energy Mosher" and discribe the problem and offering the service. Every time a fan started headbanging with the "Energy Mosher" quickly a whole crowd showed up.
Outcome
During the 2016 festival season, over 400 hours of battery were generated with the energy mosher. The Metal community talked about the promotion- and everyone agreed, Metal Hammer is the Metal magazine.
