Execution

The strategy was to surprise people on a completely unexpected moment. With that in mind, we decided to show that somehow nature will return the aggression back. So, our message was that garbage left on the beaches eventually returns. To everybody. At first, our volunteers teams collected garbage on Rio de Janeiro's beaches. Then we've posted 10.000 ecological boxes to people's houses with objects that were left on the beaches. In addition to that, we went out on the streets and gave hundreds of those boxes to people at bars and restaurants.That way, we were able to impact at an unexpected moment, the same way it could really happen someday.

Outcome

Hundreds of boxes were given to people on the street and we delivered 10.000 to people's houses.Our estimated impact was approximately 30.000 people. During the 4 weeks later to our delivery, our website received an increment of 65% more visits. And now we already have twelve new teams of volunteers registered for next summer.
