OVERVIEW

Description

Shift from “use” to “face.” What is the role of digital technology in our lives? With digital technology advancing at a rapid pace, we felt the need to reevaluate the relationship between humans and digital technology. Our conclusion, technology should be “something we face instead of something we simply use.” The relationship has evolved from “use” to making the most out of digital technology and “facing” it. The inspiration for the visual comes from Go, the board game, with humans and digital technology facing each other in a symbolic way.

Execution

Going back to the starting point of ad: tech, this visual was created with simplicity in mind. With “Ad” and “technology” meeting, clashing and merging, we believe that this is what serves as an inspiration to other people, generates value, and becomes a positive influence. This is what led us to coming up with the theme “Face”--where the key concept is the game “go” with black and white pieces facing each other battling over territory.

Outcome

Was able to brand Ad Tech Tokyo International as a pioneer event in the industry. Also increased participation of influential business people (board members), comprising of 45% of the total participants.
