Description
We had to enhance the quality of Personal Loans granted. So we decided to launch a completely innovative product in the category: Family Loans. Which are exactly the same as Personal Loans but with a little more Christmas spirit, since we gave away 8 payments and they were only approved if destined for family use. For example: if you requested the loan to buy a two-door car, the loan would be denied. But if the purpose was a family car, it would be approved.
Execution
At the beginning of December, we launched Family Loans nationally on TV, social media, the bank’s website and all branches around the country, and we invited people to stop by a branch or visit us online for our new loans.
Even though they were planned exclusively for the Christmas season, the bank decided to keep Family Loans in their regular lineup of products.
Outcome
When it comes to results, no previous loan comes close to this product from Banco Hipotecario. Not only did inquiries grow by 600%, but compared to the previous year, when 2472 Personal Loans were granted, in 2016 the bank granted 7022 Family Loans. A growth of 284%. Just by barely changing the name of the product and the terms for granting it.
Even though this promo was planned exclusively for the Christmas season, the bank decided to keep Family Loans in their regular lineup of products.
And all customers and non-customers know that Family Loans are found only at Banco Hipotecario.
