SITUATION: Along with direct mail and USA TODAY print advertising, this online banner ad campaign encouraged families to attend the World's Largest Backyard BBQ at Famous Dave's to raise money for Share Our Strength, a charity devoted to ending childhood hunger in America. SOLUTION:We created banner ads; one 'to-go' message featured a car that is nearly crushed by a big slab of ribs while the other showed a slab of ribs disappearing in huge bites. Response: above average click-through. OUTCOME/RESULTS:With more than 7,000 meals served, more than $35,000 was raised to benefit Share Our Strength.
