The idea was to create the worlds largest and fastest zoetrope by mounting a camera to a real McLaren 12C (a car you can race in the game) and have it hit controlled speeds of up to 120mph while filming 680 high res mounted print outs of still images of game footage lined up in a specific order around a racetrack. The speed of the car (driven by award winning driver Tanner Foust) would bring the still images to life. The resulting film was captured entirely in camera and is a spectacular realization of the beauty and innovation of the game.
